Broken drain line in the wall floods this condo in Santa Barbara

SERVPRO was called out in the middle of the night to this condo flood caused by a cracked sewer line in the wall. Once the plumber was able to stop and repair the leak [as seen in the before photo] SERVPRO immediately applied anti-microbial and extracted.

Once containment was set up, SERVPRO performed clean demolition while wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) and applied anti-microbial again. Black water or sewage can contain some really bad things and should be treated carefully so as to not get anyone sick or injured. SERVPRO follows IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification)  guidelines on all losses.
