High winds and heavy rains caused this roof leak in Montecito

SERVPRO was called out by this Montecito home owner because high winds blew tiles off of the roof allowing rain water to leak into the home. 

SERVPRO immediately draped the roof and set up drying equipment in attic.

SERVPRO typically will treat water leaking in from a sloped room as clean water or category one water, because there is little opportunity for any contamination as water is cleanly flowing on the roof however, water build up on a flat roof may be contain a pathological load or be contaminated.

So, in this case SERVPRO was able to remove the water damage insulation and dry the drywall ceiling from the attic making repair costs minimal.
